Spanish school in Mexico City: International House

Situated in a residential district 15 minutes away from the centre of Mexico City, the school benefits from a calm environment. The school is housed in a listed colonial style house, which makes it a particularly pleasant environment for studying.

Host family
The families that have been selected by our partner school will welcome you with pleasure. They will offer you the ideal setting for practising the language constantly and immersing yourself in the Mexican culture. Most families are accessible in less than 20 minutes on foot or about 10 minutes on public transport. You will stay in your own room with half board provided. The time that you spend with the family members will be very enriching, providing a window into the human and cultural side of Mexico.

Each week, the school organises an activities program for students. Activities that take place within the school are free of charge. These include, for example: a welcome evening, a Mexican cooking workshop, a film screening and salsa/merengue lessons. Other activities are also offered outside the school, such as an afternoon at the artisan markets, a visit to Zócalo and the capital’s enormous heritage. Mexico is an extremely rich city in terms of both its culture and history. You will find everything here. On the weekend, excursions outside of the city can be organised. You can visit Cuernavaca, the gorgeous city of Puebla or the magic pyramids of Teotihuacán.
