Our partner school is situated at the heart of Barcelona, in the central and animated Eixample district, close to the Sagrada Familia cathedral and numerous shopping streets. The school is spread out over three floors in a modern building and consists of 50 spacious and bright classrooms and a conference room. Numerous common areas are available to students. A large interior patio, equipped with several computers with Internet connection, opens out on to the school's magnificent garden where it will be pleasant to make the most of the sunshine, to eat a small snack (numerous vending machines are available throughout the school) and to establish contacts with the other students during breaks! There is a WiFi connection available throughout the building. Thanks to its ideal location, 10 minutes away from the Plaza de España, and its modern teaching equipment, this school is really unique!

Free optional culture classes
In addition to the daily Spanish classes, Don Quijote offers an extra class each day on varied topics of cultural interest. Thanks to these classes, the students have the opportunity to gain better knowledge of Spain, the way of life, the customs and traditions... in brief, all of the elements which help for a better understanding of the Spanish language.

Accommodation

Host family
Staying with a family constitutes a unique experience for making the most out of your stay. The possibility of being constantly immersed in the Spanish language and culture allows you to accelerate your learning. Students stay in a single room and benefit from half board.

Shared apartments
Very popular in Spain, shared apartments offer you the possibility of living with other international students. Staying in s single room, you will share the living room, fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The apartments each have a television and washing machine.

Residence
Located around 25 minutes' walking distance (15 minutes by public transport) away from the school, the residence has 25 bedrooms, most with a private bathroom. Meals are not included but a fully-equipped kitchen, to be shared with the other students, will allow you to prepare your own meals. Students also have the use of a common room with a TV and separate smoking and non-smoking areas as well as a laundry room.

Leisure

From the Olympic Village to the Gothic district to monuments such as Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, Barcelona has something for everyone. The school organises a range of sports, social and cultural activities, as well as excursions at weekends to Figueras, Girona and nearby beaches.
