Language school Ibiza, Instituto de Idiomas Ibiza (Eivissa)

Situated in the centre of Ibiza, our partner school is appealing by its ideal location in its bright and welcoming building. In the spacious and air-conditioned classrooms, the classes are given with the help of modern equipment. A library which is well-stocked with books to support the classes, CDs, videos, dictionaries, newspapers and magazines are available for individual study. Internet access via WiFi is free. A good student nationality mix is an asset and allows you to communicate quickly in Spanish with the other participants. Right in front of the school, there is a bus stop which allows students who are staying all over the island to reach the course centre easily. As the school is situated in the heart of the city centre, a multitude of bars, cafés and restaurants are situated in the immediate surroundings and the beach is a few minutes away. During the high season and depending on the number of participants, the school offers extra classrooms close to the main course centre.

Host family
A language study stay finds its added value in accommodation with a host family. Whilst being in contact with your hosts, you will practise Spanish continuously and will learn many things about the life of the inhabitants, their culture and their lifestyle. The host families in Ibiza are specially chosen by the Instituto de Idiomas and are situated within a perimeter of around 15 minutes' walk from the school. You will stay in a single room and will receive breakfast every day. Bedlinen is provided and you will have access to a washing machine once a week.

Shared apartment (from 18 years)
If you wish to have more independence, opt for the shared apartment option. As flatmates, you will have either other students, or former students on holidays on the island. Staying in a single or double room, you will share the apartment with 1 to 5 people and will prepare your meals in the common kitchen. Bedlinen and bath towels are provided (bring your own one for the beach) and you will have access to the laundry room once a week. By sharing the apartment, it is assumed that you will share everyday household tasks with your flatmates. Generally speaking, parties at night are not tolerated in the apartments.

Ibiza, with its magnificent beaches and its mild climate, is particularly predestined for water sports. The Instituto de Idiomas proposes a programme of sports activities which includes diving, sailing, surfing, but also horse riding, aerobics and fitness. In the culture domain, the school invites you to flamenco or salsa classes, to excursions to historical places on the island (Arab or Carthagenic villages), to theatre or cinema outings and to wine tastings. The Archaelogical Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art are also very popular, and the guided walking tour across the city of Ibiza is a must for all students! Some leisure activities are at an extra charge, others are free. The school will be happy to give you information on the possibilities proposed.
