Our partner school is located in the very centre of Izmir, in the very fashionable Konak district. You are a stone's throw away from the seaside, which is always animated, from the pedestrian area of Alsancak with its modern shops and trendy bars and from the historical Kemeralti bazaar. You can get public transport 20 metres from the school. In the 5 classrooms of the course centre, the motivated and qualified teachers propose a programme based on communication. Reading and writing, listening to and speaking Turkish are learned in a pleasant context and a familial atmosphere. The teachers give priority to an individualised approach and proximity, made possible thanks to the small number of students per class. In the school's cafeteria, you will be able to take meals or chat over a Turkish coffee with the other participants from throughout the world.

Host family
In Izmir, you will fully enjoy the extraordinary quality of life and the warm welcome of the inhabitants by staying with a host family. You will stay in a single room with breakfast or half board provided. The bathroom and common rooms are to be shared. Bedlinen and towels are provided and washed every week. Our partner school chooses the families with care, who allow you to practise Turkish outside of the lessons in a relaxed and stimulating atmosphere. In most homes, Internet access is possible and free. In order to get to the course centre, you will need, on average, around thirty minutes by public transport.

Student House
Our partner school makes apartments to be shared with other international students available to you, You will occupy a single room in an apartment equipped with a common bathroom and kitchen. If you so wish, you can take breakfast or the evening meal in the canteen of the building and pay for your meals with an electronic card issued by the school. Bedlinen and towels are provided and washed every week. For a modest fee, the staff of the building will wash and iron your laundry. A cleaning service passes twice a week in the apartments which are located around twenty minutes by public transport from the course centre.

Our partner school organises guided visits which will allow you to explore this exceptional city and its surroundings. On the programme, sports activities like paragliding, diving (possibilities to take lessons) and entertainment on the beaches of the very beautiful Aegean coast. The cultural programme proposed by Royal Turkish will allow you to discover the historical aspects of the places, including the origins going back to 3000 B.C., the conquest by Ancient Rome, Medieval Smyrna and Ottoman Izmir.
On request, excursions to the Greek islands of Samos and Chios are organised at the weekend. Discover also Çeşme, a holiday resort 80km from Izmir, whose imposing fortress was built in the 16th century by the Ottomans or else, situated close to Çeşme, Ilica, a large thermal centre. One finds sources of hot water in the sea, a unique phenomenon in the world, there. Don't miss out on the spectacular site of Pamukkale, approximately 250 km from Izmir, for anything, where white mineral substances originating from thermal waters form vast terraces which change colour through sunlight. Ephesus, formerly one of the most important city of the Antiquity and today a vast archeological site displaying impressive remains of several civilizations, is a bit closer, around 80 km from where you're staying. To finish, Kusadasi awaits you on the shores of the Aegean Sea, around one hundred kilometres from Izmir. This fromer fishing village has become the fashionable seaside resort in Turkey and invites you to enjoy its magnificent beaches.
