Located in a quiet street, right by the central station and a few minutes from the historic centre of the city, our Italian language school in Florence occupies a three-storey building dating from the 19th century. Offering optimal conditions for learning Italian, the Linguaviva school has 17 comfortable, air conditioned classrooms equipped with audio and video material. The language school also offers free Internet access. For relaxing during breaks or after your Italian lessons, you can enjoy the school’s garden, unless you would prefer to head for the centre of Florence, which is just a few minutes’ walk away.

The programme:
While you are taking the language classes, you will have an interview with an internship placement specialist. This person will also accompany you during the interviews in the various companies and will be your contact person throughout the duration of your internship.

The internships last between 2 and 4 months, or even longer, and take place throughout the year with the exception of the months of August, December and the Christmas period. Generally speaking, you will work from Monday to Friday (09:00-17:30, break of 1 hour for lunch). Some professional domains such as hospitality, tourism or fashion sometimes have irregular hours and may call on the interns on Saturdays and Sundays.

The participants must hold a diploma, a university degree or professional experience in the chosen domain
Accident insurance for the duration of the internship
CV in Italian
Individual tax number (assistance by the school on-site)

Accommodation

Host family
This is the ideal option for those who want to experience the Italian way of life and improve their Italian in a friendly atmosphere. All types of families offer accommodation about 15 minutes by bus from the school. Whether you stay in a large family or with just one person, you will have your own single room (double only if you are traveling with another student) and can choose between half-board or breakfast only.

Shared apartments
Our partner school in Florence also offers accommodation in apartments, shared with other students, about 15 minutes' walk from the school itself. You can choose either to have your own room, or to share if you are traveling with a friend. The apartments each have three bedrooms or more and are fully equipped: a kitchen where you can make your own meals and a bathroom (towels and sheets are provided) are shared. This accommodation option is ideal for meeting international students and sharing with them the unique experience of learning Italian in the heart of one of Italy's most beautiful cities.
On request, our partner school also offers accommodation in private apartments (1 or 2 people).
