Regent is also the only school in Australia to offer mini-group classes (6 students per class). This method favours “tailor-made” teaching, based on the individual needs of each participant, and progress is rapid. Students will find first class teaching materials in the library/multimedia resource centre, and Internet access is free of charge. The classrooms are comfortable and bright, and the other facilities, bathed in sunshine and surrounded by tropical vegetation, make an enchanting setting for studying English.

Accomodation

Host family
The host families in Port Douglas live within a perimeter close to the school. You can get there on foot, by bike or by bus. Most families have a swimming pool or are located close to the beach. Students stay in individual rooms with half-board provided. The families are chosen with care by the school and are suitable for adults and professionals who demand high standards of convenience and comfort. Staying with a family is also an excellent opportunity to put your new linguistic skills into practise, in daily life situations.

Leisure

The entry point for two UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest, Port Douglas is full of possibilities for adventure and discovery. Diving (with or without tanks) on the Outer Barrier Reef, golf by the seaside, relaxing on the famous 4 mile Beach or rafting on the Tully River, swimming in the crystal waters of Mossman Gorge, dawn excursions to witness living history in one of the most ancient tropical forests in the world (110 million years). Kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles, rare birds and multicoloured flowers… Enjoy also the warm and festive atmosphere of Port Douglas and especially don’t forget your camera!
