Accommodation

Host family
Staying in a host family has numerous advantages, on a cultural, linguistic and also on a financial level. Students stay in private rooms and families prepare two meals per day for them. Host families generally live in residential areas and journeys to school can take anything from ten minutes to one hour.

Shared apartments

Living in a shared apartment means living in the company of two to five other students or inhabitants of Santiago, in a fully furnished apartment located near to the school. Apartments are generally shared by students of different nationalities enabling you to make friends from a variety of backgrounds and to communicate in Spanish. You will have a private room and will share the apartment’s common areas, meaning the kitchen, bathroom, living room and laundry room. Cleaning of common areas is taken care of and meals are not included.

Leisure

A language course in Santiago is never boring! The capital of Chile, nestled in a valley at the foot of the Andes, is a bubbling metropolis. Here modernity meets the charm of Latin-American culture. Ideally situated at the heart of the country, Santiago is a perfect starting point for exploring both the south and the north of Chile, as well as its splendid central region. The town has a wide range of entertainment possibilities: Mercado Central is a delight for all the senses, a walk around the top of the Cerro San Cristobal guarantees you magnificent panoramas, Pablo Neruda’s house opens up its doors to you, the oldest art museum in South America welcomes you as well as numerous other museums. In the afternoons, the school organises recreational activities that are also instructive: accompanied by a teacher who is always ready to help and correct you, you will have the opportunity to hear and speak Spanish in an authentic setting and to familiarise yourself with Santiago and Chile.
