Our partner school, OISE, is situated on the top floor of a modern and functional building. Its large picture windows lead out onto a large terrace which overlooks the city. The school's small size and the quality of the programmes allow you to study German in an intensive way and in a friendly atmosphere. In addition to the 8 comfortable classrooms, you will have access to a library, a student lounge and to the school's multimedia centre. During breaks, you will be able to have a coffee on the terrace, chat with your friends and enjoy the very beautiful view offered by the castle and the surrounding woods. Unless you would prefer to enjoy the "Philosophenweg", one of the nicest walks in Europe, on the banks of the Neckar, following the example of the great minds that once animated the city.

Accommodation

Host family
All of the host families are carefully selected by our partner school in Heidelberg. You will stay in a single room and will share the common rooms and will have breakfast and the evening meal with the family. This provides you with so may opportunities to practise your German in context. It is important to note that the host family can take on various configurations, going from a couple with children to retired people or even single people, but the warm welcome remains the main criterium. You will need to expect to have to travel between 20 and 30 minutes in order to get to the school from your accommodation.

Leisure

Our partner school, OISE, values the importance of the student's stay being as enriching as possible, as much from a pedagogical as from a cultural and social point of view. For this reason, a carefully designed programme will be proposed to you, including outings to the theatre or cinema, a guided visit of the old town and of Heidelberg Castle, museum visits, pub evenings, conferences on history or literature. At the weekend, you will be able to take advantage of excursions organised by the school in order to discover other jewels of German heritage, including Frankfurt, Mannheim or Stuttgart.
