The exams can be taken in any of the 900 official exam centres in 154 countries. The DELF and DALF certificates take into account:
- international norms on exam content and structure www.alte.org
- harmonisation of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages www.coe.int
The DELF and DALF certificates are under the authority of the National Commission for DELF and DALF, the head office of which is in the International Centre of Education Studies in Sèvres, France.
The 6 diplomas that make up the DELF and the DALF are completely independent of each other. Candidates can therefore enrol directly in the exam of their choice, according to their language level.
The four skills evaluated at each level are: listening comprehension, speaking, reading comprehension and writing.
