Learn Italian in Italy

There is something about Italy that remains a mystery, and it has nothing to do with the secret family recipes passed down over generations. The question is, how did an empire that ruled two thirds of the known world with a terrifying army just two thousand years ago, become the undeniable kingdom of La Dolce Vita? It is enough to visit the theatres, thermal baths and stadiums of Rome to understand that the ancient culture also placed great importance on quality of life. Since its earliest days, in fact since the time of the Etruscans, Italy has welcomed empire builders who know how to enjoy life’s pleasures. Could it be something to do with the weather? Yes, but it’s also about a deep appreciation for beauty. How else could the miracle that is Florence be possible? Or the elegance of Venice and the fashion-capital, Milan? Each region has its unique charms. The cuisine, for example, varies considerably from North to South, each area having its own specialties. Enjoy the wide-open spaces of Tuscany, where mild sunshine caresses the vineyards. Or escape to the southern coast, where volcanic soil fertilises the olive trees. Italy is a rich mosaic of sensations.
