Host family
A stay with a host family allows students to put into practice their language skills in a friendly and authentic environment. You’ll stay in a single or twin bedroom and share the bathroom with the family members. Bed linen and towels are provided, and your hosts will wash your clothes when you need it. During breakfast and dinner, you’ll have the chance to talk to them and use your newly acquired Japanese knowledge. Usually, host families live 45-50 minutes from the school by public transports.

After learning Japanese in the mornings, you’ll spend the afternoons discovering the city and the Japanese culture with your new international friends, thanks to the school’s activity programme (all activities are supervised by the school staff). Visit the ramen museum and the Kobe Animal Kingdom, show off your many talents at a karaoke night or a cooking class, and try a real kimono! Also, the famous Osaka Castle is less than an hour away by train, while beautiful Kyoto – with its amazing temples and traditional tearooms – is an hour and a half away! There’s really something for everyone… Oh, and don’t forget to try the famous Kobe beef!
