Modernity and tradition go hand in hand in Beckenham, famous for David Bowie, an elegant green suburb in southeast London just 20 minutes by train from the city centre. Applying the highest standards in teaching and the choice of its teachers, the school offers excellent quality courses. The campus has 2 traditional buildings connected by a modern cafeteria, opening onto spacious green gardens and serving a wide variety of hot and cold meals and snacks (including halal and vegetarian). There are additional state-of-the-art classrooms in a recently refurbished building 2 minutes away on foot. Many classrooms have interactive whiteboards; there are 2 computer centres for independent study and free Wi-Fi throughout the school. Opposite the school is an award-winning spa and sports centre which offers students discounted rates, as well as a public library.

Do you think you've made progress?

Kings, South London
Duration: 12 weeks

The reason why I chose Kings London was because I wanted to study and live outside of London but also be near London for visits in my free time. I walked all around London. I visited all kinds of attractions and museums. I like the school because it is small, friendly, nice people and a good mix of nationalities. I like the fact that the host, the shops and the school are in the same area. The course is good for me and they monitor your level well. I love British food and British people! The school was really good, the host was perfect — I choose the Homestay Extra self-catering option. I couldn’t dream better than that! I would recommend Kings 100%. In fact I might book another course with my boyfriend next year at Kings.

Kings, South London

I’m following the course “Diploma of English” to improve my language skills for my future job, where I need to relate to people from all over the world. The teachers at Kings are very experienced, they also teach business English and specific courses to improve our conversation skills. The school is located in a beautiful building, the course is not too difficult and I met a lot of new friends. Beckenham is a safe area, it is very easy to get around and I go to Central London twice or three times a week. I recommend everyone to visit the London Eye in the evening! My host family is an elderly lady with a 37-year-old son, they are very nice and friendly and it only takes me 20 minutes on foot to get to school, I usually walk there with another student from Saudi Arabia. This experience abroad is a really good means to meet other students from other countries and to become more independent!

I chose Kings because ESL recommended me this school.

What I like about the school is the building, which is new and very bright. The classrooms are really good and the atmosphere is very friendly.

I enjoyed staying with a host family, it is the most amazing thing I've ever done: staying with the family, speaking with them and also trying to understand.

At the beginning, I was put in a class with a level too low for me. But since I moved to a higher group, I’ve really enjoyed the course and my teacher because she's friendly and she does everything she can to make us feel good.

I enjoy my life here in London, it is perfect.

I would definitively recommend Kings because I had an amazing experience and the place is perfect. All Kings' staff members are friendly and they go out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

Thank you for everything!
