Whether you’re into shopping megaplexes jam-packed with all the latest brand name stores or boutique shopping along the sun soaked city streets, Montpellier has something for you. If the latter is more your style, head to the Rue de la Loge in the historic centre with its typical high-street shops alongside unique boutiques and quaint cafés where you can stop to refuel with a café au lait
or a pastis
The city's most central modern shopping centre is Le Polygone, a stone's throw from the central Place de la Comédie. Here you'll find international and French brands including the ever-popular Galeries Lafayette department store plus a few places to eat.
On the other side of town but easily reachable by tram (it passes right through the centre), the Centre Commercial Régional Odysseum features an aquarium, a planetarium, a laser tag area, an ice skating rink and a trampoline park alongside its scores of shops and dining options.
