Thanks to the assessment from ESL, I decided to travel abroad to improve my English for my future job. I decided on Toronto (Canada), because I wanted to get to know North America, and from there I could travel to other large cities thanks to the excursions with the school. From day one, ESL was always available to me and continually checked in with me. The school also helped me to integrate with the rest of my classmates and were also attentive to make sure that everything went perfectly. Without a doubt it was a unique experience that I’ll do again in order to continue learning in other parts of the world and meet more incredible people from every corner of the planet.

My whole language stay was a delight! The school (ILSC) was very well organised and the mix of nationalities was perfect. We learn to know not only the people in our class but also the students met during the breaks or after school. As there are a lot of students from Latin America and Asia, I spoke English all the time. The organisation of my internship in a local company was just perfect! After only two weeks I had an interview. All my colleagues were very nice and helpful. I would do the same all over again because Toronto has a lot of benefits. On the weekend, the school offers various excursions (to French speaking Canada, to the USA, camping etc.). We rented a car several times with some friends and organised an excursion. The Primrose student’s residence was a good decision as it has a very central location. In a residence, you also get to know students from other language schools. I thank you again for the good organisation of my stay, I really appreciated it a lot!

I went to Toronto to improve my English, but what I got was way more that that. It was an incredible experience! Toronto is a multicultural city where you will meet people from all over the world…it’s very interesting and enriching!

The city itself is very nice, commuting is easy and there is always something to do, from supporting the local baseball team – the Blue Jays – to visiting the famous CN Tower or simply going for a walk on the Ontario Lake. And no matter the time, you will always find a cosy place to have a coffee or a snack, or simply to share some good time with friends!

During my 11 weeks in Toronto, I took the preparation course for the Cambridge FCE. At ILSC, everything is well organized. The staff is always available and helpful, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and there are lots of activities everyday; these allows you to visit the city and meet new friends!

This experience was really unforgettable!

Toronto is a very lively and multicultural city located by the Ontario Lake. Here, virtually everything is possible! Food lovers won’t be disappointed for food wise, the city offers a remarkable choice, whether it be in the “Little India” neighbourhood or in “Koreatown” or “Greektown”, among others. Party people won’t be disappointed either and will find a thousand things to do. I strongly recommend a day trip to Niagara Falls, a weekend trip to New York, Boston or Montreal or Quebec City! As far as the nightlife is concerned, Montreal and Quebec City are really fantastic, especially in spring and summer, when many festivals take place. During my whole language stay, I lived in a host family. It was very nice, there were two very friendly children and the mother was an excellent cook! I was very happy with the school as well, especially with the modules offered by ILSC in combination with an exceptional variety of different classes. At ILSC Toronto, the mix of nationality is really good. To sum it up: I would go on a language stay with ILSC Toronto again anytime and I strongly recommend this school!

My experience in Toronto, Canada, was amazing. It helped me develop my English communication skills in the international business field by learning new terms. English is an important language that will allow me to communicate with people around the world and – most of all – with future employers. I know I improved my skills because I was forced by the context. I made new friends from all over the world and discovered their cultures. The school is very big and pleasant; teachers are good and care about the students. I don’t regret this choice; it was an excellent opportunity! Thank you ESL for suggesting this type of programme and thank you for this quality language experience.

Wow... Toronto is a proper megalopolis! Multicultural and lively, this city is cheap and bustling. I significantly and quickly improved my English thanks to the wide choice of courses offered my ESL’s partner school. I had the chance to meet people from around the world and make new friends. My host family was so great that we became close friends, and their home is now my second home – and vice versa. To sum up, my linguistic trip to Canada was really rewarding and amazing!

Toronto is a marvellous city, with lots of things to do all year round. Impossible to get bored! You can find any nationality and people are very welcoming. I really liked the school because I could choose the best course depending on my level. I had the chance to meet people from around the world and have interesting discussions in and outside the class. Furthermore, the school organises afternoon activities to visit the city and meet even more people!

Toronto is an amazing city offering lots of different activities, day and night! I decide to stay with a host family; I didn’t regret my choice, as this made me practise my English while meeting great people!

The school was well located in the city centre; I used public transports to reach it, but they were pleasant and easily accessible.

English courses were targeted depending on our needs, objectives and wishes. And if you don’t like that, the teacher and the director allow you to change and go to a different class.

I improved my English despite my short stay (5 weeks); I did an intensive course (morning and afternoon).

The school offers different activities to encourage the students to meet each other (CN Tower, pub…). During the weekend, you can visit New York, French Canada, Chicago, Washington…

The people I had the chance to meet during the trip were all warm and interesting! In Toronto you can find a mix of many different nationalities, and this is very enriching. I learned a lot and I don’t regret anything about this trip. I recommend this city!

My little BIG journey started from Zurich. I flew to Toronto with lots of ideas in my mind but I didn’t really know what to expect.

Once in Toronto, I was warmly greeted by my host family (Maria, Chuck et Charley, 5 years), who were all waiting for me. We got on very well right from the start and our relationship developed to become a real friendship during my stay.

ILSC is a great school for a language course. It is located in the very centre of town (close to the famous Eaton shopping mall) and it has incredible teachers, helpful staff members and excellent facilities. What I liked most was the low percentage of Swiss students at the school. I spent most of my time with students from other continents. Not only did I learn English, but I also approached other cultures.

The multiple experiences I had during my language course made me a stronger person!
