TARONJA LANGUAGE EXCHANGE
The school has established a peer-coaching system between its students and native speakers. These communication sessions with locals are called “Taronja Language Exchange” and are very popular. Every week from October to June, participants have the possibility to meet a resident of Valencia once a week and practice what they learned in class. From then on, they become both teachers of their mother tongue and students of Spanish. The event is free, and has already become the best-known language exchange in Valencia.

A home away from home – this is the ideal option if you are looking for the warmth of a home as well as daily interaction with a local, Valencian family. You will be staying with hosts who have been carefully selected by our partner school and live at a reasonable distance from the school. Choosing from half-board and full-board, you will use Spanish in an authentic context outside of class.
Choose this option if you wish to be more independent during your time in Valencia. You will stay in a single or twin room (for students travelling together) in an apartment shared with locals or other international students. Meals can be prepared in the communal, fully equipped kitchen. The lounge area is a great place to hang out with your flatmates. The bathroom is shared and a washing machine is available, and the apartments are all located in central Valencia.
Dive into Valencia’s culture with the school’s excellent activities programme. You will be welcomed with a traditional Paella Party on Tuesday evening, which is a great opportunity to get to know the other participants. Enjoy a guided tour of the city, cooking class with the great Chef Nando, cultural lessons, a book club and loads of social/cultural evening activities in which school staff and teachers are always involved. Once a week, the school also organises a language exchange with university Spanish students that is super popular in the city! Every weekend, you can enjoy a special activity such as a day trip to Madrid or Barcelona, excursions to nearby cities like Xàtiva or Peñíscola and visits to small town festivals, gorgeous beaches, sporting events, etc. Take advantage of the numerous options on offer to discover this beautiful region!
