I went to Montreal for 8 weeks to improve my English. I chose ILSC because it’s located in the old town and I don’t regret my choice; I highly recommend this school! Teachers are great, classes are very interesting and afternoon activities are varied. I had the chance to take two courses, so I could improve my vocabulary quite a lot. I am much more confident when I speak now. I met really nice people from all over the world and they became my friends - social media helps me keep in touch with them and my teachers as well!

Montreal is a beautiful city, and under the snow it’s just incredible. It’s a combination of French and American culture, and people are very welcoming. The good thing is that Montreal is smaller than other cities such as Toronto, Paris or New York, so you can walk everywhere and visiting the city is pretty easy.

I stayed in a studio flat in Trylon Apartments, close to the Place des Arts, in the city centre.

This experience was very enriching and rewarding – on both human and educational levels. Montreal is an incredible city and I can’t wait to go back! Thank you to ESL and especially to Manon and Marie-Eve ☺

I went to Canada as my dream was to go to the American continent. I chose ILSC school because the options were very diverse and I didn’t regret that choice. I spent 1 month in Vancouver and 2 weeks in Montreal in the same school. The good thing is that your file follows you. Moreover, the teachers are very competent and interesting, which makes the classes more attractive. As far as the activities are concerned, it was just AWESOME! I encourage all those who want to go to Canada to go to that school and to visit this beautiful country and culture.

My experience at ILSC Montreal was very rich! Everything started when I decide to use my three holiday weeks to learn French. Montreal is a cosmopolitan city, with many different cultures that have been living together for years. The distinctive mark of the city is the amount of open-air events and activities, as well as the fascinating history where you can literally loose yourself.

Staying in a host family made my experience very intense; my stay in Canada would have been different without that. The fact of being surrounded all the time by two languages is very interesting: French in the typical areas and small shops, and English in the international business districts.

The school is located between the business district and the touristic areas. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Since day 1, teachers were helpful and lessons were very interesting, fun and dynamic. There were students from all over the world. If you like languages, meeting international people and discovering interesting cities, a language stay in Montreal is a must!

Like other people, I took many different English courses: group or private lessons, with professional and non-professional organizations, for 1 or 2 hours every week. Not bad, I guess! But if you are looking for an efficient and quick result, you need something more: I chose a language stay in Montreal. In the heart of the old town, ILSC offers the ideal environment to study whist having fun. First of all, you will find a team of young and dynamic teachers who use all the best learning methods, a very helpful admin staff and a director who always leaves his door open. Then, the students: a surprising and rare cultural diversity! They come from all over the world: Europe, South America, Africa, Asia… And finally, Montreal: an open and multicultural city. In winter the streets are full of life despite the cold, the locals are warm and curious and don’t be surprised if you meet French people who decided to move there. You’ll understand once you’re there…

My holiday in Montreal was amazing!!! As far as I’m concerned, life in Montreal is incredible: it’s a city that never sleeps, a music heaven, perfect for young people and a town where anything is possible… my summer in Canada was unbelievable. The people I met, trips, teachers (funny and friendly), evenings, life in a family where ten other students were staying (a fantastic Erasmus-esque atmosphere!) all made saying goodbye difficult! Thanks for everything!!!
