The school already has a foot in the ocean, so no doubt you will spend most of your time in the water too! But San Diego and its area offer a multitude of other fascinating activities. Visit Balboa Park, the heart of the local cultural scene, with its three museums, historical gardens and exact replica of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Also explore the Old Town district, known as the cradle of California, and its 17 documented historical sites. The school will organise activities to allow you to get to know the other students from throughout the world. Every Tuesday, the programme is free, with activities including beach sports and trips in the area. From Wednesday to Friday, excursions (Los Angeles, Six Flags Amusement Park, San Diego Zoo, etc.) and sports activities (surfing, kayaking, etc.) are offered at a charge, as are weekend trips to Las Vegas or San Francisco. If you want to discover some must-see attractions on your own, the Grand Canyon, Disneyland and Universal Studios are ideal for a daytrip with friends!
