Caminhos Language Centre

Located in the trendy, vibrant and safe neighbourhood of Ipanema, this school is just a short walk from the beach and is surrounded by cafes, bars, and restaurants. The building is colourfully decorated and has 21 classrooms, a library, a kitchen, and a lounge for students to enjoy between classes. Each classroom is equipped with traditional whiteboards and a large TV – despite its size, the school maintains intimate class sizes of five students per classroom. The school has WiFi but is not currently wheelchair accessible. Overall, this school is perfect for students to see the best that Rio has to offer!

Host family

Staying with a host family is the perfect way to get acquainted with the Brazilian way of life and use your Portuguese in a real setting. Families are located within a 20-minute walking distance from the school. There is generally one student per family, with some families accommodating two students – this will be communicated before arrival. The room is single, and bed linen and towels are included. Only breakfast is provided, but there is access to the kitchen. WiFi and a free laundry room are also included in the accommodation.

Private apartment

This option is perfect for students who want to spend their time in Rio with comfort and independence. The private apartments are equipped with essential furnishings, including a bed, a desk, and a table. Towels and sheets are included. All apartments are equipped with WiFi, allowing students to stay connected. In addition to the comfortable living space, students also have access to free laundry and cooking facilities. All apartments are in pleasant and safe neighbourhoods and are monitored by 24/7 security. They are located either within walking distance from the school or conveniently accessible through the metro system.
