Last month in May I decided to go study English in Malta in St Julian’s, at the EC School. I booked the school through ESL and my experience was great. They answer all your questions and give you all the information you need right away. I really improved my English level. The school and the teaching methodology are really good in my opinion, getting you to speak with your classmates and explaining everything you don’t understand as many times as necessary, which was perfect for me. I met people of many different nationalities from whom I learned a lot about their cultures. The experience was so great that in February of next year, I’m going back.

I spent 24 weeks at EC in Malta, for an intensive course. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I don’t regret it at all! In 6 months, my English level improved a lot. Malta is a beautiful island full of places to visit – I spent 6 months there and I wasn’t even able to see everything!

If you’re still unsure about a language stay, stop doubting and go! It will be the best experience of your life.

My experience at EC Malta was fantastic. I chose a mini-group Business English course, as I only had one week and I wanted to focus and improve as much as possible. This was definitely the right choice and I will do it again. Teachers were amazing, very caring and dynamic; they would advise and correct us all the time. Also, during breaks, they would bring coffee and pastries! The school staff was lovely and always helpful. There were plenty of afternoon and evening activities! Don’t miss the welcome dinner, as it’s a great opportunity to meet the other students, nor the excursion to Mdina, the “Silent City”. Although Malta is small, there are many things to do and places to visit. I highly recommend it!

The services provided by ESL before my programme met all my expectations. I got all the information I asked for, almost immediately. I saw that the information was very complete and that they were reliable, which convinced me to trust the agency and count on them organise my stay. Just a month and a half later, I was on my way to Malta. I’d like to thank Diego Rico for being available at all times and for guiding me through the booking and organisation process. Thank you, ESL, for helping me make my dream of studying English and travelling abroad come true! It was one of the most valuable experiences in my life.

I would recommend EC Malta because it has a nice ambiance and is very good in managing and organizing generally. Students are always supported carefully in any matters, including offering a 24 hour phone calls not only for emergency cases. Very friendly staff at the reception takes care about all needs for convenience. The school is central situated and nearby student accommodation. EC Malta works professionally, at all levels. Interesting various contents and modern teaching methods are combined. The teachers are good qualified and also mentally likeable for international students. The school offers excellent recommendations and organises programmes for students spare time in and outside school. As I feel, the management, the teachers and full staff are doing their jobs with high competence and enthusiasm. I enjoyed my course very much because of qualified and friendly teachers as well as each of the students from other foreign countries. It was a pleasure to learn English in such a friendly atmosphere, including an effective result of learning. During my free time I very much like to walk along the seaside and enjoyed also to sit on the different bays of Malta. The Valletta tour organised by the school and the orientation walk on the first day have been excellent.

I like the fact that EC Malta is situated in a very strategic position, near the beach club of the school and the centre of St. Julian's. I enjoyed walking and having dinner in different places and traditional Maltese restaurants. What I preferred about the courses is the interactive way of teaching, using videos or listening comprehension exercises, discussing about real topics of nowadays. I would certainly recommend EC Malta to my friends because I’m very satisfied about the EC team, they are very organised and helpful.

For me what I preferred was the “café chat” where we speak and drink free coffee with a teacher. It’s great to improve your speaking skills and meet others students. I think that EC Malta is a good experience. I met lots of friends who come from many countries around the world and it’s very interesting to share our cultures. Travel is the best way to learn fast a language with a lot of fun. So, get a move on!

I would recommend EC Malta because of their system of learning which is good. I like the school's organization and the fact that we were not a lot in class, which is better for learning. The course has a goof mixture between speaking and the grammar. During the evening I loved to hang out at Paceville and my favorite activity was definitely going diving. I would not have any recommendations for the future EC Students, unless to just come !

I would recommend EC Malta because is a good place to meet new people and to learn English very fast and easy. I like the location because I think all important places are near to EC. I really like the teachers and the establishment because is very modern and the facilities are very technological. I like about my course it’s very flexible and then I have time for do the homework in the afternoon and if I want I can ask for help to anyone. My favourite place is bay street because I can go to play bowls or shopping or if I want I can eat or drink anything all in the same place and because is near to EC. I liked particularly the boat party organized by EC because I met new people and I could dance all night and at the same time I was practicing my English. If you want to come to Malta, make sure that you come in summer because the winter is very cold and may become sick, the rest of the year, it’s very nice. You will have a great time if you come to Malta.

I spent 15 unforgettable weeks in Malta and I dedicated 9 of them to an English course. The school is great on every aspect: organization, infrastructures, atmosphere, quality and after-school activities (sometimes it’s even too much, is it really necessary to organize so many parties?). Try not to stay only with the students of your school, but to meet the locals as well. Outside of the school, Malta is a very pleasant place, thanks to its inhabitants, its nice weather, its beautiful landscapes and the many sites to visit. I also practiced many sports, such as bike, diving, running and, most of all, climbing. These were 4 of the most amazing months of my life!

When I finally decided to go abroad to learn English for good, I found the amazing opportunity of combining my studies in two different countries. I started with 3 months in Malta – from January until March – and then I went to Cambridge for 3 more months, just in time for the spring! ESL gave me a free return ticket between Malta and the UK, so I could see Malta once again before going back home with the head full of memories and an overflowing address book!

The lessons were varied and interactive, and taught by well-prepared and friendly teachers. The school is beautiful and welcomes students from all over the world. What’s more, there are always activities and excursions scheduled, so you never get bored. And because St Julians is such an entertaining place, it is easy to make friends and practice English with them. The host family was fantastic, the lady that put me up was nice and available, and she always made me feel at home.

St Julians is an excellent destination for an English course if you are interested in different cultures and historical diversity. As Malta was successively occupied by various invaders, the island was strongly influenced by various nations. Paceville is no doubt the most popular place with young students and it is located not far from the school. There is always something going on in Paceville. Even though the island is quite small, there are plenty of places and villages to visit. The bus network is well developed, which allows for easy travel. Malta caters for all tastes!

Once I had made the decision to go to Malta for my language holiday, ESL organised a fantastic course for me consisting of a 9 week course and 9 week internship, which was exactly what I wanted. It was perfect to improve my English and meet people from different cultures before doing a 9 week work placement where I could put everything I’d learnt into practice. I could even establish new contacts. The school’s teachers are very knowledgeable and the lessons were interesting and varied. Our group was well prepared for the CAE exam. I had a good relationship with my host family and spent many hours with them. I even went on outings with them and learnt a lot about Maltese culture during these trips. Malta is an amazing country and I spent four unforgettable months on this Mediterranean island! Thank you so much ESL!
