Learn English in the beautiful beach neighbourhood of Summerstrand! You'll find a small shopping centre, restaurants, cafés and bars just 5 minutes’ walk from the school. The course centre includes 6 spacious and bright classrooms, a kitchen, a lounge with ping-pong and pool tables and a large garden with sea views. In the summer months, some classes may be held in the school's garden. The nearest beach is located just 200 metres away, which means students can enjoy surfing and swimming right after class! What's more, the barbecues organised at the school provide a great opportunity to socialise with your fellow students from all over the world.

Do you think you've made progress?
« Oui.

Do you think you've made progress?

The rainbow nation is a wonderful country that I recommend visiting. The city of Port Elizabeth is is perfectly located to explore the area, whether it be going west with the Garden Route or going east by the Wild Coast. Wonderful experiences await you on the way, whether it be beautiful landscapes, safaris to look for the Big Five or meeting the local population, which is very friendly. Actually, Port Elizabeth is nicknamed the “Friendly city”!
As far as the school is concerned it’s like a big family. Everybody knows each other very well and the teachers are nice and helpful. The school organizes activities and it is possible to book the ones you want to do.. The English classes are very well organized and varied, so I was able to quickly make progress in English.

Host family
Staying with a host family is surely the best way to practise your English, because you'll have the opportunity to speak in a natural way on a daily basis. You'll stay in a single room with half-board provided. The school's families live near the main attactions of Port Elizabeth, and you'll be able to get to school by bike or bus (the bus stop is 30 metres from the school).

Student residence
For those who wish to live in an international atmosphere, this residence is the perfect option! You'll stay in a single room with a private bathroom, within walking distance of the beach and the school (10 minutes). Bed linen and towels are provided and a laundromat is available 10 minutes from the school. Each room offers free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, air conditioning and complimentary tea/coffee. Cook your own meals in the shared kitchen with your new friends or meet them at the restaurant, bar or at the swimming pool!

Shared apartment (with host family)
This accommodation option combines the perks of host family and residence accommodation. You’ll stay in your own single room, and might share the bathroom and the kitchen with one or two people. All apartments are a maximum of 2.5 km away from the school. Wi-Fi is free and a weekly cleaning service is included. Living with a host will give you the opportunity to enjoy Port Elizabeth like a local, without losing your independence!

Brewer House residence
Just a 10-minute walk will bring you from this upscale residence to the language school and the beach! You’ll enjoy elegantly decorated en suite single rooms (doubles available for students travelling together), complete with bed linens and towels, a fridge with a minibar, a TV, tea- and coffee-making facilities and free Wi-Fi. The guest area includes a fully equipped kitchen, and continental breakfast is available for purchase. Extra perks include an attractive swimming pool surrounded by a large garden and terrace – enjoy a luxurious stay!

Numerous activities are offered by the school. Port Elizabeth is famous for water sports and offers surfing & diving in dream spots. And what would you say to going whale watching? There's nothing better than a safari or an excursion to the world-famous Addo Elephant National Park to discover the splendid nature of Africa. The "Big Five" (elephants, rhinoceros, buffalo, lions and leopards) await you... your camera is a must! Take weekend trips to the Wild Coast for a “real” African experience, the Karoo semi-desert to explore fossils and experience the vast, open plains and incredible star-gazing, or Tsitisikamma/Garden Route for the world’s highest bungy jump and great coastal scenery.
