If you’re looking for a true Spanish immersion experience in Barcelona, there’s no better option than staying with a host family. You’ll stay in a single room (or a double if travelling with another student) in the family’s home. Bed linens and towels are included, and you’ll also have free Wi-Fi and access to the washing machine (just pay for detergent). This option includes half-board, so you can practise chatting in Spanish with your family during meal times. Host families are located a maximum of a 35-minute journey by public transport from the school.
Please note that students ages 16-17 must book the host family option with airport transfers.
Enjoy your single room (or double, if travelling with another student) with free bed linen and towels, a fan or air-con and a shared bathroom. The apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering, a washing machine and free Wi-Fi. You can choose between a ‘Standard Shared Apartment’ or ‘Comfort Shared Apartment’. The Standard rooms have between 7-10m2 of space and generally have interior-facing windows and the Comfort Rooms have between 10-15m2 of space and generally have windows facing the street. If you book a Comfort Single Room you can also choose to upgrade to a private, en-suite bathroom.
The Loft Town residence (available in July and August)
Located in the cool district of Gracia, this modern building is an 8-minute walk from the language school and a 1-minute walk from the famous Passeig de Gracia. You’ll stay in a single or double bedroom (also available for students travelling alone) with private bathroom, bed linen and towels (changed weekly, when the rooms are cleaned). Meals are available at an extra cost. Wi-Fi is free, the laundry is coin operated and the reception is open 24/7. Enjoy as well the study room, the outdoor gym, the cinema, the cafeteria and the terrace!
Get ready to dive into Barcelona! On your first day, you’ll attend an orientation session where you’ll learn about all the activities you can take part in (4 per week, free of charge and not repeated in 3 months). You’ll also be invited to a welcome drink to get to know your classmates. Examples of these activities include cultural visits to the Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and the Picasso Museum, beach volleyball, open-air cinema, picnics in the park, a barbecue on the school terrace or yoga on the rooftop, all while practising your Spanish. You can also choose to partake in optional activities like a tapas tour, salsa night or a flamenco show. At our partner school, they work hard to make sure you have an unforgettable stay in Barcelona!
