Global Marketing Executive

For our Offline Marketing department, we are currently looking for a Global Marketing Executive who will work in direct contact with our marketing teams in Montreux (Switzerland) and Barcelona (Spain).
 
Your mission is to define and fine-tune the regional marketing strategy for 7 of our markets in collaboration with the regional managers on site.
 
The Global Marketing Executive is also in charge of various large-scale projects aimed at developing the marketing activities of the whole company.
 

Main tasks (non-exhaustive list):
 
  • Defining and optimising our regional marketing strategy for 7 markets (supervision in the development of marketing plans, budget allocation and follow-up, validation of marketing actions, operational support, optimisation and analyses).
  • Operational coordination of marketing actions in collaboration with the Marketing Assistant.
  • Participating in the development of marketing activities and managing various projects autonomously (contests, customer surveys, scholarships, events, partnerships, etc.).
  • Collaborating on various analyses (customer buying cycle, impact of our special offers, etc.).
  • Writing texts, press releases, advertorials and news
  • Support during waves of promotional material printing
  • Competitive analysis and intelligence
  • Updating information on our websites
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations 
 
Your technical skills:
 
  • With a commercial qualification or equivalent, you have a few years’ experience in a similar position (3-5 years) in an international, multicultural environment. A postgraduate degree / qualification in the field of Marketing is an asset.
  • You have an excellent command of English and written/spoken French. Any other language skills are an asset.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of MS Office software tools, in particular Excel and advanced formulas. 
  • You are comfortable working with figures and have had the opportunity to manage budgets in the past.
  • You possess excellent writing skills and can write engaging, compelling texts.
  • You have some experience in project management. 
 
Your personal skills:
 
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are comfortable interacting with many people from various cultures and countries.
  • You are extremely well organised, thorough and responsible.
  • You are able to multitask and/or manage several projects at the same time.
  • You know how to find solutions for yourself and work autonomously while respecting the guidelines provided.
  • You have the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • You are proactive and have analytical skills.
  • You like the idea of working with a superior and teams located in other countries.
  • You are naturally dynamic and enjoy working in a team.
  • Having experienced a language travel abroad is a bonus.

For our Online Marketing department, we are currently looking for a Regional Online Marketer, someone who can relate to our brand and promote it through online channels by sharing interesting content online – we call this Outreach.
 
You will be based in our Barcelona office as part of a small team of multi-lingual Regional Online Marketers, in liaison with our Montreux Headquarters.
 
You will report to the Global Online Marketing Manager, and will require a very creative, flexible and proactive approach to your work.  You are a native Spanish speaker and are fluent in English, with a genuine taste for written and verbal communication.
 
Main tasks:
 
  • Work within the Regional Online Marketing team to identify opportunities to connect with ESL’s audience online.
  • Run communication campaigns across all available channels (social platforms, newsletters, websites, blogs, etc.) and build ESL’s community around the industry’s core topics.
  • Share ESL’s content online (internal and / or external platforms) and create a community around key topics whilst building strong relationships with the industry’s influencers.
  • Develop and support the content strategy with the help of marketing and SEO tools – content audits, personas, keyword research, etc.
  • Apply SEO and SMO strategies and recommendations at a local level and search actively new opportunities.
  • Write various types of texts – descriptions, comments, blog posts – and create content for the various online campaigns.
  • Manage & answer comments on ESL’s various social platforms.
  • Send monthly newsletters to our clients and external databases.
  • Track, monitor and report on all your activities.

Your professional skills and education:
 
  • Proven experience in a similar role or in PR / Communication / Journalism.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Irreproachable online profiles.
  • Keen interest in the latest Internet trends & technologies.
  • Proven experience in using industry tools (Google Analytics, SEO and SMO tools, etc.), Excel guru a plus.
  • Outstanding organisation skills.
  • Reliable, detail- and result-oriented personality.
  • Enthusiastic and creative thinking.
  • Great flexibility.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Spanish native speaker and fluent in English.

I stayed at the EC school in Cambridge, which is a really good school. Located in a brand new building, the classrooms are all equipped with multimedia boards and a presenter. The lessons are playful and interesting, they will definitely allow you to make progress in English. Moreover, the welcoming staff as well as the teachers are really nice and will do everything to help you if you are facing any kind of problem. Which is really good. I was won over by this work method, which allows you to participate with all the students and even the teachers. There is a very good atmosphere in the classroom, which allows you to connect with the other students. This method allows you to make progress in the way you express yourself in English, in your understanding but also in your writing. I personally think I made progress in all these areas.

I am also very satisfied with the organization of ESL and with the staff who knows how to listen to you and does whatever is necessary to answer all your questions.

I personally loved my stay.

I spent three weeks at the Atlantic school in Galway, Ireland. The school is very well located and parts of the premises have been recently refurbished, which allows you to work in good conditions. There is a big hallway with a cafeteria and a terrace to relax during the break!

The teachers were very accessible and we worked on our oral, written and listening skills. That was great because there was always a good dynamics during the classes! Depending on the subjects dealt with, everyone explained the specificities of their countries! That was greatly enriching.

As far as the accommodation was concerned, my host family was great!! I will never forget the three months I spent at their place! I had my super comfortable room and I had all my meals with them in the evening, as for lunch I ate at the school. There was a good atmosphere at home and I quickly felt at ease. I was very warmly welcomed (with a good tea of course!) and I shed a few tears when I left! Today, I am still in contact with them and I am planning to go back to Ireland to settle there!

I recommend traveling with ESL because I was very well assisted during my project and when I called several times to have information, I was always well guided and advised!
