Let’s start by the most important aspect: my English. In just a few weeks, I really improved my language skills – ¬my English is now more fluid and my vocabulary is richer. This was all thanks to the lessons and to the experiences I shared with other students, both at school and elsewhere. The classrooms are very well equipped and the school has all the multimedia material you need. What I liked the most were the teachers: they are friendly and kind and are always willing to help… plus, you can joke around with them! I love how this school works and I’ll definitely come back someday, if I can. If I had to rate EC New York from 1 to 10, I’d give it a 9!

I stayed 3 months at EC New York to improve my English in order to take the TOEFL exam. I chose the Big Apple to experiment the life in a big city and to enjoy the possibilities that it implies, such as museums, nightclubs, musical shows and sport events. I must say my expectations were more than satisfied : New York city is awesome!
I also would like to point out the high quality of the support that I got from the school's staff. The academic team make a great work to make you feel comfortable in your class and maximize your progress in English. Moreover, the guys at the reception were really wonderful. There were always available to answer my questions, give me advices about the city and support me by printing documents that I needed for sport events or professional reason. I would like to thank all the staff for this amazing stay.

I like the feeling of New York. The people are kind and helpful. You have something to do at every time. I recommend EC New York because the teachers are very good and the lesson interesting and interactive. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff is qualified. Try to speak always in English so don’t hang out with people from the same language as you.

New York is an amazing city for a language stay. I have been here for the past 5 weeks and I still haven’t seen everything! Every day, there is something going on. My host family is great! They welcomed me as one of their daughters. My “siblings” are very funny and lovely. The food in really good and the house is fabulous. New York is so cool and interesting!

My stay in New York is just perfect! The school is in the heart of Manhattan, in Times Square. I can never get enough of this place. It takes a few days to understand the special atmosphere here: it is at the crossroad between most of the metro stations and a famous attraction. It’s also the starting point for most of the excursions – don’t miss any of them! The city is huge; every day you can see something new. It’s also very hectic; the streets are always full of people, not only during peak times. That’s why I am very happy to stay with my host family in Queens. The journey to school is a bit long (50 minutes), but I am happy to do it, as my family is so nice and the world spins a bit slower here! In Queens, there are typical American pubs where you can play pool and watch football or baseball every night. There are also high-quality restaurants – Korean, for example. It’s just perfect, as I can enjoy the typical metropolitan lifestyle while living with a nice American family.

I planned to stay here in EC for three months during the winter time. In this school you can apply to very different types of courses, each one will be helpful to enhance your abilities. All the staff from the first day up to the last will be welcoming and at your disposal. For example, you will have all the help to fix some little problems that you might have in a big city as New York. EC school is located in Times Square where you can use all the subway lines, this is a great thing if you will live in Manhattan or if you will go to other neighborhoods. This is an excellent school, you will not regret it!

My stay in the Big Apple was definitely one of the most enriching experiences of my life. I met people from around the world, saw some film settings, visited some of the most famous museums in the world, lived the buzzing nightlife… All this, while improving my English skills! It’s the best way to combine fun and study!

EC is ideally located on Broadway, in the heart of Times Square. The New Yorker residence was only 10 minutes away from the school. Walking to school in the legendary streets of NY, between famous skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building, drinking a coffee and eating a donut in the street like a real New Yorker: a new daily adventure!

Also, NYC is close to many other American cities. You can easily go to Washington D.C., Philadelphia or Boston for a weekend, or even to the Niagara Falls, stopping by Toronto in Canada!

I can only recommend New York City: everyone should go and stay there for a while, to be able to appreciate all the incredible things that the city and its inhabitants can offer. NYC: the place to be!

I was so happy about everything! My family was fantastic, even if they lived in Bronx. I really liked the area! The school atmosphere was great and I met many people from around the world – it was really exciting! My only problem was my young age; as I was only 18, I couldn’t go out a lot in the evening. But apart from that, it was perfect!

We went together to New York, to study at EC. It was the perfect opportunity to explore and enjoy the city while spending some good “girls time”. We really liked the school’s location in Times Square, as well as our residence, as we could explore the city quite easily. Thanks to this language stay we met people from all over the world. We are very happy about ESL and our experience in New York!

The woman who hosted me was from Puerto Rico; she was very warm and took good care of me. We became so close that saying goodbye at the end was very sad; I had to promise that I would come back soon.

The journey to the school was a bit long (one hour). I lived in the Bronx (231st street), but it was not a problem at all, as I met plenty of amazing people. Furthermore, it was very interesting to see how much variety there is in New York. Manhattan Midtown (where the school is located) can’t be compared with the Bronx. Teachers were great, very competent, lovely and helpful. The receptionist was also amazing; she would help us when we had issues with the host family or the school, or anything else really. She would recommend excursion destinations and we could also book different events with her. She was absolutely great; she also helped me to find a good dentist!

It was a wonderful experience – too short, unfortunately. I would have loved to stay 4 weeks instead of 2. I met so many fantastic people! Not only my classmates, who came from all over the word, but also some amazing New Yorkers who lived in my neighbourhood.

I would book again with ESL with no hesitation!!

I would recommend EC New York because the teachers are really good, the courses are taught in a fun and good way, and there is a good nationality mix, which means that there are not a lot of people who speak the same native language. There is a good atmosphere in the school and if you need something, you can always find someone to help you answer your question. I like New York because it's full of beautiful places and there is always something to do. You're never bored in NY! You can walk in Central Park, a few minutes later, you can swim in the ocean of Brighton Beach and in the evening, you can enjoy a cocktail with your friends and some famous people on the roof of a tall building!

I appreciate the great location of the school, right in the city centre, so you can easily go anywhere after school! Everybody at EC is so friendly that they make you feel at home in no time! I like that the subjects we cover in class are not typical, boring ones, but are interesting and in a certain way, challenging. I like that the people in New York are generally nice and helpful. Also, I love the feeling of being in a multicultural society, where different people manage to live together without bothering each other.

New York is a great city and you can do whatever you want. There is something for every taste. You can enjoy nature in Central Park, you can go shopping, walk near the Hudson River, see a musical etc. I like the teachers at EC because they are really motivated.
