This summer programme offers exciting courses and activities for 10-17-year-olds in one of the most popular cities among young students. Located near gorgeous sea cliffs, the campus is surrounded by huge fields where you’ll be able to do any kind of sport, including the opportunity to practise amazing watersports! In modern and comfortable classrooms, you’ll have motivating classes with qualified teachers. The programme includes full board and all meals are served in the canteen, which is located in the same building as the classrooms. Wi-Fi is available in the building and all activities are supervised.

 

For students under 16 years old, the maximum booking duration is four weeks.

Residence

ESL Languages residence Brighton Campus

A 5-minute walk from the school and sports facilities, the comfortable residences across campus house girls and boys separately. You’ll sleep in a single room (a very limited number of twin or triple rooms are available, usually assigned to younger students) with a shared bathroom and will have the chance to spend time with the other students in the common rooms or outdoor spaces. Bed linen is provided, but bring your own towels. Bedrooms and common rooms are cleaned once a week, free laundry service is available once per week and staff members are on-site 24/7.

Leisure

The excellent leisure programme offered by the school will fill up your afternoons and weekends, allowing you to make new friends very quickly! Depending on your interests, you’ll be able to choose one of the PLUS programmes (Watersports, Creative Arts, Horse Riding or Football) and practise your favourite hobby while speaking English. Basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton, hiking… and the campus has a swimming pool as well! During the weekend, the staff organise different excursions to visit Brighton’s attractions, but also to London. It will be the perfect opportunity to discover the British culture… and to do some shopping!

COURSE PLUS CREATIVE ARTS

Brighton is one of the trendier cities in England – it’s filled with artists that help make the city a colourful hub of activity. This programme is the perfect opportunity to tap into this artistic energy for yourself, and learn English through your favourite hobby!

Programme This programme includes daily English lessons alongside three Art lessons per week. The curriculum covers Street art (including graffiti and body art), fundamental painting techniques, 3D art, the creation and design of a custom T-shirt and a collective artwork, as well as self-portraits and technique.

COURSE PLUS FOOTBALL

Playing football after class is the perfect break from a long day of learning, as it promotes healthy living, communication, and teamwork. Football is one of the most important sports in British culture, so there’s no better place to practise it, no matter whether you’re a complete beginner or the next Messi!

Programme This programme includes 3 x 3-hour football lessons per week. Lessons will be adapted to the student's skill level and will include general techniques (such as dribbling, passing, and shooting), tactics, and tournaments.

Level required Any

Materials Students should bring their own football kit (including shorts, a t-shirt, a waterproof jacket, and football boots or trainers.

Location On campus

Number of students per group There is a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 20 students.

Timing Lessons will be held Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons between 14:00 - 17:00 (Including travel time)

COURSE PLUS HORSE RIDING

Horse riding lets you bond with a majestic animal while getting some fresh air and exploring your surroundings from a unique perspective – on horseback. Choose this programme to combine an exciting activity with daily English lessons to have a summer that’s both fun and educational.

Programme This programme consists of daily English lessons, combined with three horse riding lessons per week. Students will be split up by their existing riding level, with advanced students riding outside in the surrounding nature. Students will ride for 60 minutes per afternoon.

Level required Any

Materials Students should bring solid/sports shoes, a raincoat and long trousers.

Location The school's taxi provider will drive students 45 minutes to Polegate Equestrian Centre, where they will have their lessons.

Timing Horse riding lessons will be on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 14:00 - 17:00 (Including travel time)

COURSE PLUS WATERSPORTS

No stay in Brighton would be complete without a trip to the beach, and in the sheltered waters of the Hove lagoon – students can enjoy some of the best water sports Brighton offers in a safe and stable environment. Choose this programme to experience the salty excitement of Brighton’s sea sport while improving your English in engaging daily lessons.

Programme This programme includes daily English lessons alongside three watersports lessons per week. Students will be able to do activities such as paddle boarding, raft building and wakeboarding during their time in Brighton.

Level required Any

Materials Students should bring a sweater, swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, rain jacket, and shoes that can get wet.

Location The staff will drive students 15 minutes to Hove Lagoon.

Timing Water sports will happen Tuesday, Thursday & Friday afternoons, 14:00 – 17:00 (Including travel time)
