In the very heart of Surfers Paradise, on the most famous shopping street and 5 minutes' walk from the beach, our partner school has an ideal location! The main public transport lines are all nearby. The course centre occupies the 4th and 5th floors of a modern building with stylish furnishings. Wi-Fi is free! A library allows you to carry out research, and students have access to computers in the multimedia centre. In the 14 classrooms, teachers give interactive, motivating English lessons. A student lounge invites you to relax after class. The numerous cafés, restaurants and shops in the surroundings will allow you to immerse yourself in the laidback lifestyle of the Gold Coast. And after classes, there's only one motto: head to the beach and onto a surfboard!

Do you think you've made progress?

Testimonials

All I can say is that I was very well advised. You provided me with excellent support and I could ask you about anything at any time. Even now that I have been forced to change my initial flight itinerary, I could rely on them entirely.
The school is really great! It is well located in the centre and Surfers Paradise is a 10-minute bus ride away. The teachers are excellent, and in addition to the language, they teach us lots of things about Australian culture. All of the school staff do their best to help us and make us feel at home. You can also surf the Internet at any time. At the school, no other language than English is tolerated. At first, you need some time to adapt but it allows you to establish contact with people from the four corners of the world quickly. The Gold Coast is fantastic. There are beautiful beaches, which can easily be reached by bus. During the weekend, you can also go on an excursion to Brisbane or Fraser Island. Sydney or Melbourne are a relatively short ride away.

EC, Gold Coast
Duration: 4 weeks

I definitely enjoyed my course at EC! The teachers are great and the lessons really motivated me to study. I was level Pre-intermediate when I arrived and reached level Post intermediate at the end of the course (so I went up two levels). Usually, students were very friendly and I made friends with people from the four corners of the world. As to Australian people, wow, these people are nice and chilled, what a difference!
In order to practice and hear correct English, there is nothing like a nice host family. Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast area are really beautiful.
As regards the school, another positive aspect is that there are not many European students (students are mostly from Asia, Brazil, South America in general) and few of them speak French so it is ideal to practice English since you have no choice … haha

Every week, the language school organises a social programme in order to allow students to explore the area and get to know the other participants better. The beach is only a stone's throw away, which means you can relax and practise various sports (surfing, volleyball, diving, jogging, football, etc.) at any time during the day. Excursions, parties and cultural activities are included in the school's programme. The Gold Coast has countless assets and leisure options to entertain you, dazzle you and give you insight into a world of wonders. Visit an animal sanctuary and stroke a koala or take part in a beach volleyball tournament. All of the activities are very well organised and offer the ideal setting for meeting new people and practising English. Some excursions are at an extra charge.
