Gastfamilie: super Schule: sensationell Gegend: schön Vielen Dank! So macht lernen Spaß! Vielen Dank.

I stayed in Fukuoka, Japan, for 1 month.
My trip was good. The school staff welcomed me very well and teachers were helpful and very patient in teaching the language.

My class included 5 students, which is much better for learning.
My host family was great and I am still in touch with them. They made me discover the real Japanese cuisine.
There are many places to visit and it is impossible to get bored. Japanese people are extremely warm and helpful; in 3 different occasions, I struggled to find an address and, each time, someone took me the place I was looking for.
It was an enriching trip; I would love to go back to Japan.

Thank you ESL and Sophie for turning this trip into a success!

I loved my language study stay and I am glad I could live this exciting, new experience. I could get to know my host family, the school staff and the other students better. They were all very friendly. Unfortunately, I don’t have any picture of the school, but here is a picture of myself in Marina Town, which is located close to the house of my host family. If you would like to see more pictures, you’ll find them on Facebook. I would like to go on another trip like this one soon.

Host family
The host families carefully selected by the Genki school have a great sense of hospitality and a real desire to share their language and culture with you. Most of the families live near the city centre, around 30 minutes from the school by public transport. You will stay in a single room with breakfast or half board provided. Living with a Japanese family is an excellent opportunity to discover Japanese customs and culinary traditions but also to practise the language daily. You needn't worry about your level of Japanese; even beginners manage to make themselves understood with these welcoming Japanese families.

Sharely Style Hakata residence
You will stay in an air-conditioned single room fitted with a private bathroom and share the laundry facilities and common kitchen with the other guests. Bed linen is provided but towels are not. The rooms are in keeping with Japanese standards and are therefore relatively small, but decorated in the European style. It will take you around 20 minutes by public transport to get to the school.

Every week, our partner school will offer different excursions to you.
