Classes are made up of a maximum of 15 participants and organised by level. The test you sit on the first day determines which group you join. Lessons are interactive and your experienced teachers will know how to arouse your interest for the varied topics covered in class. The first part of the daily lessons focuses on the basis of the language (grammar and vocabulary), while the second part encourages students to use their creativity (making posters, role-plays, writing plays).

As group leaders, we are there to provide assistance to students during their language course abroad. We are available on a 24-hour basis to solve the small problems of everyday life. We welcome and supervise the young students during the various activities and excursions. We offer them language support when they need it. A language study trip abroad is always a great adventure. Our goal is to make sure that all students enjoy it and want to do it again. At the end of the summer, we too return home with lots of good memories, unforgettable encounters and the wish to do it again next year. ESL is a great experience for students and group leaders alike!

"I chose Brighton because I have always wanted to go to England, Brighton looked very nice and the activities were interesting. During the course, I learned above all to speak more confidently and to improve my accent. My favourite excursion was to London, because it is a city that, for a certain class of foreigners, and for me, is a dream. To go there was simply fantastic. I loved watching the European Championship football matches, even though I am not normally into football. It allowed me to approach people of different nationalities. My friends came from Switzerland, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Russia and France. The student residence is beautiful and very large. The location is excellent (near the city but not in the city). The student residence helped us to make friends as we lived together with students of different nationalities. The Hub is really great! During my stay, I enjoyed the city, my independence, meeting people of different backgrounds and, overall, the life in England! I remember the people I met and the ease with which you become comfortable with people who don’t speak the same mother tongue as you; also the football evenings, our free Sundays, the group leaders, our excursion to London and many other unforgettable things. This trip makes me want to live in Brighton. Thanks for everything, I will never forget this fantastic trip!"

Residence
On campus, you'll stay in a superb residence offering single, twin and triple rooms, and share the bathrooms and common spaces with the other students. This is a great opportunity to get to know other young learners from all over the world and to practise the English you've learned in class! Bed linen is provided and changed weekly, but you must bring your own bath and beach towels. Cleaning is provided daily in the common areas, and coin-operated laundry facilities are available once a week. You'll have your 3 daily meals (a packed lunch on excursion days) in the residence's beautiful dining room. Make yourself at home while enjoying the very British atmosphere of the place where you're staying!

Students may choose to stay at an alternative residence, a 20-minute drive from the college, where they will be accommodated in single rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Transfer to/from the college is guaranteed daily by private shuttle.

You can never get bored in Brighton! On your arrival day, the school will organise icebreaker games where you will get to know the other learners. The leisure programme is truly exciting: you will visit Brighton, watch films in English, compete in mini Olympics and dance at disco parties! Cultural excursions will also be on offer, including to the Royal Pavilion of Brighton, to vibrant British capital London and to other cities and places of interest. Every afternoon, you will also enjoy many sports on the superb campus facilities. You won’t be in a hurry to leave, that’s for sure!
