Cape Town is an amazing city. After spending a month there, I really wish I had stayed a lot longer. The people are friendly and always willing to help. If you have the opportunity to travel there, take it! I stayed with a family in Sea Point and chose EC, a school that I totally recommend as well. Cape Town has a unique atmosphere and you really learn a lot from its cultural diversity.

We were told that Cape Town and South Africa were wonderful but it was way beyond our expectations! We stayed at the residence “Mountain View” where 11 students from the EC Cape Town school were staying. From the student lounge, we had a beautiful view on “Table Mountain” and over the entire city of Cape Town. In the school, all the nationalities were represented and so were the Germans. During the courses and the breaks, we could meet with other students and learn many things about remote countries. The teachers were always keen on making us talk as much as possible without neglecting the theoretical part, including grammar. In this short period of time, we refreshed our English and practiced it during our free time. After class, we had enough time to explore the beaches around Cape Town or hike on the “Lion’s Head” or the “Signal Hill”. We will go back for sure hoping to discover even more aspects of this wonderful country. Thank you ESL for the perfect organization and support.

Why I fell in love with Cape Town? The reasons are obvious! In the heart of the city you can find so many different nationalities making it very diverse. At night in the main street you feel the bustling night life of the city. If you want to spend a tranquil time you can also go to Table Mountain where the view is stunning. I could gaze at the city from this place for hours. My favourite activity in Cape Town is strolling in the city and have a drink in these amazing coffee shops that you can't find anywhere else. The people are so open-minded and it’s very easy to get to know new people. The school is situated in the city centre. The atmosphere is very conducive and the teachers are very friendly. You are like in a big family at EC School Cape Town. The school offers a lot of nice activities aimed at further improve your language skills. My experience in Cape Town and especially in the school has been one I'll never forget…

I highly recommend Cape Town. I have met very friendly people and there are so many exceptional, beautiful places. If you love nature there are beaches and mountains where you can surf, swim and hike ,but Cape Town has also an exciting night life. My favourite places are Campsbay beachfront restaurants and the famous Longstreet with many pubs and clubs. One of my highlights during my stay in Cape Town was definitely visiting the school’s CSR project - where students and teachers can go on weekends to spend some time with the children of the orphanage.

Despite being on holiday, we didn’t want to lie down on the beach doing nothing but, on the contrary, we wanted to discover a new country, interesting people and, as a bonus, improve our English. That’s the reason why we chose Cape Town as a destination for our language stay. It’s one of the most beautiful cities in he world! There are activities for all tastes and for all budgets: surf, bungee-jumping, diving with white sharks, safaris, wine tasting on the picturesque Garden Route and much more. You can walk for hours on the promenade along the sea or simply enjoy the beautiful beach. Many bars and cafés fill the nights of the city with life. Climbing up Table Mountain is highly recommended as the view over the city and the Atlantic is fantastic.

We liked the EC Cape Town school a lot. The teachers made sure we never got bored during the classes and we learned more useful English with them than during all our school years at home. The countries of origin of our fellow students were impressive as well: Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Angola, Syria, Brazil, Colombia, Turkey and many more nations were represented.
The school also organized leisure and sport activities. Together with the other students in our class we climbed up Lion’s Head to enjoy the sunset. For the brave ones, there is the possibility to jump with an experienced paraglider!

Time passed too quickly. We came back to Germany with many lasting impressions and tanned by the sun of Cape Town. We left there many new friends. We stayed in contact with some of them and we plan to see each other again soon. Thanks ESL Hamburg for the perfect organization of our language stay!

I attended a 3 months Cambridge course that turned out to be rather demanding but undeniably useful and successful. I doubtless owe this to my outstanding teachers to whom I will be eternally grateful. Thereafter I started the most amazing internship known to mankind organized through VA Corps: two months at the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront.

Cape Town is terrific. Table Mountain, marvellous beaches, a cosmopolitan atmosphere – and in the heart of the city called City bowl, there is the EC Cape Town language school. I liked the school a lot. The excellent teachers foster friendly relations with the students and after the classes, a rich leisure programme is offered. The school was recommended to me by the ESL agency and I strongly recommend it to everyone. The host family was also perfect for me. These Cape Town inhabitants, who lived in the beautiful Bo-Kaap district, cooked delicious dishes for me everyday and allowed me to discover the daily life of a Muslim family from the inside.

I liked Cape Town a lot. It is a very active city where you can do many activities. The landscapes and atmosphere are amazing and the inhabitants are very friendly. I stayed in a residence. It was modern and always clean. Sharing the accommodation with people of so many different nationalities was a pleasure. Talking with other students enabled me to share my experience while improving my English skills. The teachers were excellent. They were not only teachers: you could talk to them if you had any problem. It was important to me and I was glad about that. I strongly recommend the EC school ! My three months in Cape Town went by so quickly and this experience will remain engraved on my memory forever.

The aim of my trip was not only to take a Cambridge exam, but also to combine studies with pleasure. In Cape Town, I made the most out of every day! The EC school was certainly the best aspect of my trip. The teachers were exceptional and encouraged me to always do my best. What’s more, there were only 6 students in my class, which enabled me to improve my English very fast. I was staying at the residence "Mountain View". The rooms were nice and spacious. It is the perfect accommodation option in order to meet students from all over the world. When I arrived in Cape Town, I immediately knew that it was the best place to learn English. They are plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs to enjoy yourself. I had the chance to visit unique places like Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Cape of Good Hope, etc…. I am extremely grateful to ESL for recommending the EC school in Cape Town to me. I would not have wanted to go anywhere else to take my Cambridge exam, discover new places and have fun.

Cape Town is a sunny town that is full of colours; it is a destination where the landscapes as well as the mix of welcoming and smiling people fill you with delight. It is a destination where you can stop and admire the sunset, and also a destination where you can dance… you would almost forget that you are there to improve your English. But the teachers are so friendly and dynamic that they know how to make you work with a good spirit! Whatever happens, you always shed a tear when you leave this international atmosphere and this town where some eventually decide to settle down for good!
