Learning English while shooting hoops? What could be better? Make friends with other basketball lovers like you from all over the world at our basketball summer camp. Whether you’ve never picked up a basketball in your life or you’ve been playing since you could walk, you’ll feel right at home here. Students are divided into groups by skill level, and you’ll spend 12 hours a week playing basketball and picking up new techniques from professional coaches from the Surrey Scorchers! The staff will organise mini-leagues, so you can experience the fun of competition, not to mention the exciting excursions you’ll go on at weekends. Improve your basketball and English skills all at once!

Classes are made up of a maximum of 15 participants and organised by level. The test you sit on the first day determines which group you join. Lessons are interactive and your experienced teachers will know how to arouse your interest for the varied topics covered in class. The first part of the daily lessons focuses on the basis of the language (grammar and vocabulary), while the second part encourages students to use their creativity (making posters, role-plays, writing plays).

Residence
Located right on campus, this residence offers single rooms with en-suite or shared bathrooms. Bed linen is provided (but not towels), Wi-Fi is free and laundry facilities are coin operated. Girls and boys are divided by floors or blocks, but they can all hang out during supervised leisure time and activities. The common room, the indoor swimming pool and other sports facilities are perfect to socialise and have fun! Meals are served three times a day at the Dining Hall (walking distance) except during excursion days, when students get a packed lunch.

During your free time, you’ll hang out on campus and take advantage of the awesome sports facilities! Go swimming, play tennis or football, take aerobics classes or just relax with your new friends. The staff will organise exciting excursions including day trips to London and Oxford, plus fun evening activities like karaoke, quiz and disco nights so you can get to know your fellow students a little bit better in a relaxed environment. Every two weeks, the staff will also take you on a basketball-themed excursion. You definitely won’t have time to be bored!
